Abstract

Purpose: The purposes of this study were to investigate ICU new nurses` Job Stress, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Turnover Intention and to examine the relationships among them.

Methods: The data were collected using scales Job stress, Job satisfaction, Organizational commitment, and Turnover intention, and a total of 204 new nurses were included.

Results: Job stress was the most influential factors for the ICU department type, work duration and income. Job satisfaction was the most influential factors for the education, work duration, income and responsible for supporting family. Organizational commitment was the most influential factors for the ICU department type, work duration and responsible for supporting family. Turnover intention of ICU new nurses showed most influential variable Organizational commitment.

Conclusion: Managing nurses need to manage Job stress through ICU new nurses provided continually education and management about characteries of ICU department type and work duration, to find factors of Job satisfaction and Organizational commitment reinforcement and to improve of pay system.
